Short-term Tuition

Parents often use short term tuition for exam preparation. Most clients choose our flexible term-length courses of 12 one-hour sessions. However, there is no minimum session requirement. Tuition can intensify or break during school holidays depending on the needs of the student.

We also offer Easter Revision and other short intensive courses during school holidays. Some parents or students turn to private tuition as a top-up just prior to an exam. A last minute call on the eve of an exam is not likely to improve a student's fundamental grasp of a subject but can help in building confidence and exam-taking technique.

Long-term Tuition

Clients are increasingly using private tuition as a year-round supplement to their child's schooling for a variety of reasons. They find extra tuition can be especially beneficial in the case where the child receives insufficient individual attention due to a large class size, where there are specific learning difficulties or where the student is not being sufficiently challenged or stimulated at school. Our tutors can liaise with the school or work independently, depending on the wishes of the client. Discounts are available for long-term tuition.

Home Education & Resit Courses

Inspire Education is experienced at structuring customised at-home education programmes for children of all ages whose parents, for a variety of reasons, have chosen to remove their child from school. Full GCSE & A-level resit programmes are also available. These enable a young person to retake any number of modules in a more efficient manner than a "crammer" or college because the tuition is completely tailored to their own individual weaknesses rather than to the general profile of a classroom groups.

Inspire Education works with schools in the following ways:

• Provide one-to-one (or small group) tuition for students needing extra support at school, including dyslexia, dyspraxia and other special needs, including gifted students.

• Provide short or long-term tutors or supply teachers to cover maternity leaves or other staff absence or shortage. We can provide tutors from one to thirty-five hours per week in all academic subjects as well as peripatetic teachers.

Benefits to Schools

Students of all abilities benefit from one-to-one tuition that cannot always be provided by existing school staff on a regular basis. Head teachers find that the provision of one-to-one tuition helps a "difficult" child better integrate into a classroom situation.

This benefits not only the tutored child but the achievement of the entire class which is no longer "slowed down" by the child with difficulties. Even when the headteacher does not have the budget for tutors, they often refer parents asking for extra help to Inspire Education. In fact, one in four of our clients come from school recommendations where the parent has asked for extra help. This can improve the performance of the school as a whole.

Adults

Many adults enjoy learning new skills through home tuition. Our adult clients find our tutors are easy to schedule and accommodating. It is far easier and more relaxing to leave work at your own pace for a tuition session in the comfort of your sitting room than rushing from office to college at an inconvenient time or location.

We cater to groups, people new to the UK, busy executives, new mums, retirees Senior Citizens in care. We also tutor adults who are hoping to apply to college or university as "mature students" or who are looking to return to work after a career break.

From languages to touch-typing, from accounting to PC skills, and from drawing to music, our adult students find great satisfaction in the learning process.

Adult tuition can begin and end at any level from beginner to post-doctoral. Our consultants at Inspire Education will need a self-assessment of your current level to select an initial tutor. The tutor will then use the first session to construct the right programme for you or your group.

Many adults enjoy learning in small groups in the comfort of their home for the social interaction and learning that comes from other students. We can accommodate a group you create or endeavour to create one for you.

Companies & Organisations

As a part of an organisation's in service training commitment, one-to-one tuition can play an important role. With tutoring, you pay for a subject expert to teach at the pace required for your employee, not for a standard course delivered to a mixed-ability group.
Sending your employees on one-off formal training courses often removes them from productive work and requires them to learn a great deal very quickly. It is usually far more costly than hiring a tutor.

Tuition can be done at home or in the office during or after business hours. Tuition times are convenient, because they are built into staff diaries, not on top of them. By investing one-to-two hours a week over a longer period of time a company can be more certain that the material is absorbed.

From languages to accounting, from psychology to business studies or PC skills, Inspire Education can contribute to the development of your human resources.
Many H.R. executives look at one-to-one tuition as a very effective use of their training budgets.
For an executive preparing for a larger role, an overseas assignment or increased responsibility, Inspire
Education can help construct a tuition programme to meet your organisation's and your employee's objectives.

Business and Professional tuition can begin and end at any level. The organisation or the individual can work with our consultants to determine an appropriate starting level (e.g., A-level, graduate or novice) and the appropriate target level. In addition to level, we can also set the pace in terms of lesson frequency and degree of individual study or practice. This can range from full immersion to just two hours a month
